Here is a collection of artist trading cards I made for the Little Monsters Swap going on at Illustrated ATCs. I am planning on starting my paintings for my BurningThirteen in 2013 Challenge this month using a theme of goblins so went with a theme of goblins for this swap.
That is with the exception of Cthulhu. The elder god is not a goblin in any way. Except for the fact that in this case Cthulhu, bringer of madness, is a baby. That is more fitting that I had thought originally. When I drew him, I needed something to put him to scale so I stuck him in the gutter with a dime to show just how small he was.
Now it is time for the goblins!! We have baby goblins complete with rattle. That pretty much speaks for itself.
Some people love their zombies, others vampires or werewolves. Some people even love Twilight. In my younger days, I played the uber geeky tabletop game Warhammer 40K . It was an ultra fun wargame, miniaturized. I played a Space Ork army, and since then I have been an Ork and Goblin affectionado. Goblins are wonderful because they are savage and stupid, but they aspire to be so much more. They are tinkerers
Gifted goblins are inventors and entrepreneurs. In fact in thier way, they are not so different than humans. Only they fail a little bit more, are a little bit dumber and have green skin.
